Mariam Shu’aibu Oyawoye is Fine Arts graduate of Ahmadu Bello University. She resides in the city of Kaduna, where the ever-changing colors and luscious textures of the surrounding landscape and gardens provide a wealth of inspiration for her work. By incorporating, the powerful language of color shape, and movement, she often tries to capture beauty in her abstracted floral paintings and her paintings depicting the Fulani milkmaids in their rich and colorful attire. She also works in pastels and acrylic which she loves for their immediacy and richness of hue. Both mediums allow her to work quickly to capture unique moments. She loves reading and gardening.

She has had numerous Art Exhibitions in the USA, Canada and within Nigeria.
