Audee T. Giwa was born in Giwa, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria, on 2 February 1961. He holds a B. A. degree in English, (1986), an M.A., (1993), and a PhD in Literature, (2013) all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. His research interests include Creative Writing, African Literature and Literary Theory and Criticism.
He is the author four novels: I’d Rather Die!, Ahmadu Bello University Press,(1994), Marks on the Run, Bookmakers International, Kaduna (2003), From Fatika with Love, Bookmakers International, Kaduna (2012) and Yarinya, Bookmakers International (2017). He has worked as an Arts Editor with The Democrat Newspapers, Nigeria, Editor, Ahmadu Bello University Press, Zaria, Nigeria, Visiting Lecturer in English in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Visiting Academic in University of Essex, England. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of English and Drama at Kaduna State University, Kaduna, Nigeria.
Dr. Audee is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), the Linguistic Association of Nigeria (LAN), Nigerian Folklore Society (NFS) and the Association of West African Book Editors (AWABE).
