Aisha Umar is a Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Social Entrepreneur with over 25 years experience across multiple sectors including the public sector, private sector, academia and civil society.
Aisha has provided consulting and legal advice to Federal, State governments, and private sector on various projects, some which were funded by international development agencies including DFID and the World Bank. She has also served in government as Senior Special Assistant to the President in 2011
She has lectured at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1994, and is a co-author of “Quick Reference Materials on Nigerian Law & Practice”, a leading reference book used by legal practitioners and law students
She is the Proprietor of the ‘Centre for Children with Special Needs School’ in Abuja, which focuses on educating children and adolescents with disabilities. She is also a trustee of ACE Charity, which helps vulnerable women and children across Nigeria.
