OluTimehin Adegbeye is a writer, speaker, mother and feminist with a deep commitment to social justice, revolutionary love, and uninhibited dancing. She writes non-fiction, poetry and auto-fiction with a political praxis rooted in Black Feminist and Womanist thought.
Her TED Talk, “Who Belongs in a City?”, was chosen by TED’s head curator Chris Anderson as one of the top ten talks of 2017. Her writing has been published in multiple languages and can be found online or in print.
She is very vocal on issues relating to gender, sex and sexualities, women’s rights, and inclusive urbanisation. Her work has taken her to three continents so far, but for no apparent reason she continues to live with her daughter and her godsend of a nanny in Lagos, Nigeria.
