Amina Salihu is Senior Program Officer with the MacArthur Foundation Nigeria Office. A consultant, farmer and feminist, Amina was a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Program Coordinator at the Centre for Democracy and Development, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Coordinator, DFID / UKAid Coalitions for Change (C4C) Programme.  Amina is currently the Chair of the Kaduna State Rehabilitation Board and is honorary adviser to numerous government, private sector and civil society organisations on gender and policy. She was the FCT Chair of Advisory Group of Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE). Amina is immediate past Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Nigerian Women’s Trust Fund. Amina received her and from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and PhD from University of Abuja. Amina is an Aspen Fellow and spent time at the Universities of Cape Town, Sussex and Liverpool. She is a keen volunteer and traveller.
